What is MENTOR?

 

"At MENTOR, we aim to close the mentoring gap and drive equity through quality mentoring relationships for young people.

Our movement honors, supports, and elevates positive relationships and everyone who mentors young people.

We believe mentoring relationships can be a tool to drive equity and that all young people deserve caring adult relationships outside their families. We work to create and expand connections for young people everywhere they are.

We unify and elevate the mentoring movement for our nation's young people. We collaborate nationwide with local Affiliates through research, training, recruitment, and advocacy to serve the mentoring field and young people."

Working with MENTOR:

I worked with MENTOR to create a Youth-Led Advocacy Guide (pdf) and online magazine. This guide is a culmination of the vision and expertise of a national team of youth activists, MENTOR Affiliate committee members, and MENTOR National staff.

I worked on this year long project creating the online magazine as well as designing all of the illustrations hosted on the magazine. We've developed and designed a practical guide to support youth mentoring programs (and other youth-serving organizations) nationwide in establishing and expanding effective youth-led advocacy activities and programs.
