Start Talking Stop HIV
In October 2019, Living Walls launched an annual event series aimed to spark community conversation about HIV/AIDS and prevention strategies. This project was inspired by and in support of the national #StartTalkingStopHIV campaign. The event series included seven panel discussions and two mural unveilings focused on encouraging the community to join the conversation around HIV/AIDS and prevention strategies.
This project seeks to reduce HIV infections by encouraging open and safe discussions between sex partners and friends about HIV/AIDS. This mural was inspired by those panels, those conversations, and the amazing people we met while gathering inspiration to be able to create this mural. This mural is a celebration of all the people who have dealt with HIV, all the people in the past who fought for better health, and of all the people living and thriving with HIV today.
