The Metamorphosis of an Immigrant is a series of pieces that revolve around the spiritual, emotional, and physical journey of immigration. The narrative of the issue is often told from the perspective of the native born people, of deciding between accepting immigrants or deporting them. My work aims to tell the story from the immigrant perspective. It explains the reasoning of why people immigrate, what effects immigration has on the person, the sacrifices made to be able to immigrate, and the overall metamorphosis of changes one goes through as an immigrant.
